We select 2 to 5 sailors per season depending on availability and the quality of applications
We provide a full-spec Zoom8 for the duration of the sailing season. The boat remains property of Altair Marine and is returned at the end of the season or upon mutual agreement.
We primarily support sailors aged 12–19. Exceptions may be made for exceptional candidates outside this range.
Applications are open year-round. Selection for the upcoming season typically happens in early spring. Apply as early as possible.
Yes. If you are transitioning from Optimist or another class and are serious about Zoom8 racing, we encourage you to apply.
We review all applications manually and contact selected candidates by email within 2 weeks of receiving your application.
